Gather ingredients: thinly sliced beef, tofu, mushrooms, noodles, vegetables, egg.

Make sauce: combine soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and sake in a pot. Heat until sugar dissolves.

Heat sukiyaki pot (or cast iron). Add beef slices in single layer. Sear quickly.
