- •2 tbsp Honey
- •1 to taste Blueberries
- •1 to taste Strawberries
- •1 to taste Chia seeds
Instructions
- 1
Bring 1 cup water and 1/2 cup milk to a boil in a saucepan. Add a pinch of salt.
💡 Milk adds creaminess but can boil over - watch carefully.
- 2
Add 1 cup rolled oats, reduce heat to medium-low. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.
💡 Stirring prevents sticking and ensures even cooking.
- 3
Remove from heat. Stir in 1 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp brown sugar, and 1/4 tsp cinnamon.
💡 Adding fat makes it more satisfying and prevents foaming.
- 4
Add more milk to reach desired consistency. Top with fresh berries, nuts, or dried fruit.
💡 Toast oats briefly in a dry pan before cooking for nuttier flavor.
- 5
Bring water or milk to a boil in a small saucepan. Add oats and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until creamy. Transfer to bowl, top with fresh berries, drizzle with honey, add chia seeds and a pinch of cinnamon. Serve warm.
💡 Low and slow cooking extracts the oats natural creaminess. Toppings added at the end maintain their texture and freshness.
