Meatloaf Classic
Hearty American meatloaf made with ground beef, breadcrumbs, and savory seasonings, glazed with tangy ketchup topping. Comfort food classic.
Ingredients
- •500 g Ground beef
- •1 teaspoon Salt
- •200 g Pork sausage
- •0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
- •2 whole Eggs
- •1 cup Breadcrumbs
- •2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
- •1 medium Onion
- •3 cloves Garlic
- •120 ml Ketchup
- •1 tablespoon Worcestershire
- •2 tablespoons Brown sugar
- •1 tablespoon Mustard

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a loaf pan with parchment paper.

Sauté onion, celery, and garlic in butter until softened, about 5 minutes. Let cool.

Combine ground beef, pork, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, and cooled vegetables. Mix gently.

Add Worcestershire sauce, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.

Shape into a loaf and place in prepared pan. Brush top with ketchup.

Bake for 55-65 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with mashed potatoes and gravy.
