Ingredients

  • 1 large Ripe mango
  • 1 cup Plain yogurt
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 0.25 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 4 pcs Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. 1

Cut the mango into chunks, reserving the pit. You need about 1 cup of cubed mango.

💡 Use Ataulfo (honey) mangoes for the sweetest result - they have a buttery texture. Alphonso works beautifully too.

  2. 2

Add mango chunks, yogurt, milk, and honey to a powerful blender.

💡 Add milk first - it helps the blender process frozen items more smoothly.

  3. 3

Add cardamom powder and ice. Blend on high until silky smooth, about 90 seconds.

💡 The texture should be thick but pourable - like a thick smoothie. Add more milk if too thick.

  4. 4

Taste and adjust honey if needed - some mangoes are sweeter than others.

💡 Remember the mango will be colder when served, which dulls sweetness - err on the side of slightly sweeter.

  5. 5

Pour into a chilled glass. Garnish with a pinch of cardamom and serve with a wide straw.

💡 For restaurant-style presentation, serve in a copper cup - the metal enhances the flavor.

  6. 6

Best consumed immediately while cold and frothy.

💡 Lassi separates quickly - drink within 15 minutes for best texture.
