Ingredients
- •1 cup Flour
- •1 cup Water
- •1 teaspoon Salt
- •0.5 cup Butter
- •0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
- •2 tablespoons Olive oil
- •2 pieces Eggs
- •0.25 cup Sugar
- •3 cloves Garlic
- •1 piece Egg
- •2 tbsp Cinnamon
- •1 medium Onion
- •1 tsp Vanilla extract
- •4 cups Oil
- •1 cup Chocolate sauce
Instructions
- 1
Combine 1 cup water, 2 tbsp sugar, 1/2 tsp salt in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
💡 Ice bath immediately to stop cooking and preserve color. Do not skip the salt in the water.
- 2
Add 1 cup all-purpose flour and stir vigorously with a wooden spoon until dough forms a ball.
💡 Beat until smooth
- 3
Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Let rest for 5 minutes.
💡 Dough should be smooth
- 4
Heat oil to 375°F (190°C) in a deep pot or Dutch oven.
💡 Maintain oil temperature - too hot burns, too cool makes greasy food.
- 5
Pipe 4-6 inch strips of dough into hot oil, cutting with scissors.
💡 Drain on paper
- 6
Fry churros for 3-4 minutes per side until deep golden brown.
💡 Coat while still warm
- 7
Drain on paper towels and immediately roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
💡 Warm chocolate is best
