Acai Bowl
Brazilian breakfast bowl with frozen acai, fresh fruits, and granola
Ingredients
- •2 packets Acai packets
- •1 whole Banana
- •60 ml Coconut milk
- •15 ml Honey
- •60 g Granola
- •50 g Strawberry
- •30 g Blueberry
- •15 g Coconut flakes
- •5 g Chia seeds
Instructions
- 1
Remove acai packets from freezer 5 minutes before blending to slightly soften. Break into chunks.
💡 Use frozen acai packets - they should be rock hard. Slightly softening makes them easier to blend.
- 2
Add acai chunks, frozen banana, and a splash of coconut milk or almond milk to a high-speed blender. Blend until thick and smooth - should be thicker than a smoothie.
💡 The secret is the blender - use a high-speed blender and don't add too much liquid.
- 3
Add honey or maple syrup to taste. Blend briefly to incorporate.
💡 The mixture should be thick like soft serve - too thin and it won't hold toppings.
- 4
Pour thick acai mixture into a chilled bowl. Use the back of a spoon to create a slight well in the center.
💡 Freeze your bowl beforehand - this prevents the acai from melting immediately.
- 5
Arrange toppings in rows: sliced fresh fruits, granola, coconut flakes, chia seeds, and a drizzle of honey or peanut butter.
💡 Layer toppings strategically - fruits in the center, crunchies around the edges.
- 6
Serve immediately with a spoon. Eat before it melts!
💡 High-fat milk or coconut milk creates creamier texture than low-fat options.
